On Thursday, May 1, 2007, John Maher Builders received two distinguished awards in the 2008 Showcase of Homes presented by the Homebuilders Association of Middle Tennessee (HBAMT). JMB entered the Williams Park Blackwell Model in the Showcase of Homes and claimed two honors for the home. The Williams Park Blackwell Model Home received the following awards:
John Maher Builders is once again (for the 4th stright year) the title sponsor for the 2008 Spring Hill Country Ham Festival to be held Oct. 4 at the Tennessee Children's Home off Highway 31 in Spring Hill.
John Maher Builders has been awarded a 2007 Best in Business Award by the Nashville Business Journal for companies with 26 to 100 employees. The presentation came during the May 17 Best in Business Award banquet that honored five businesses of various sizes from 1-25 up to 500+ employees plus an Entrepreneur of the Year.

On February 27, 2007, former Oak Hills High School (Cincinnati, Ohio) football player and Spring Hill homebuilder John Maher, donated $100,000 to the school's athletic boosters club to for the instillation of a new synthetic turf at the high school's football stadium. The donation came with naming rights for the field, which will be the Maher/Rutenschroer Field to honor Maher’s parents, Al and Mary Jo of Delhi, Ohio and long-time Oak Hills Hall of Fame football coach Wil Rutenschroer.
On January 23, 2007, Spring Hill homebuilder John Maher Builders, Inc. donated another $14,000 to Independence High School athletics. These funds are in addition to other donations totaling $9,496.40 to the school since its opening in 2004.

John Maher Builders, in conjunction with several Spring Hill, Tenn. area businesses, was a supporter of the inaugural Spring Hill Imagination Library Golf Tournament June 17, 2006 at the King's Creek Golf Course in Spring Hill. John Maher Builders, a long-time supporter of the Spring Hill Imagination Library, sponsored a men's and women's long drive contest during the scramble tournament for golfers of all skill levels, as well as provided gift bags for the golfers and monetary support for the library.
