John Maher Builders is once again (for the 4th stright year) the title sponsor for the 2007 Spring Hill Country Ham Festival to be held Oct. 6 at the Tennessee Children's Home off Highway 31 in Spring Hill.

John Maher Builders has been awarded a 2007 Best in Business Award by the Nashville Business Journal for companies with 26 to 100 employees. The presentation came during the May 17 Best in Business Award banquet that honored five businesses of various sizes from 1-25 up to 500+ employees plus an Entrepreneur of the Year.

John Maher Builders claims three awards during 2007 Showcase of Homes
On Thursday, May 3, 2007, John Maher Builders received three distinguished awards in the 2007 Showcase of Homes presented by the Homebuilders Association of Middle Tennessee (HBAMT). JMB entered three model homes in the Showcase of Homes and claimed honors for each of their three entries. Awards were presented for:
- Best Craftsmanship in homes priced between $250,000 and $285,000 in the South Region for the Jennifer model in John Maher Builders’ Wakefield community.
- Best Kitchen in homes priced between $290,000 and $365,000 in the South Region for the all-brick Grandview II model in John Maher Builders’ Wade’s Grove community.
- Best Landscaping for townhomes priced under $180,000 the N-1 townhome model in the Newport Valley Townhomes section in John Maher Builders’ Newport Crossing community.

John Maher donates $100,000 to former high school athletic boosters

On February 27, 2007, former Oak Hills High School (Cincinnati, Ohio) football player and Spring Hill homebuilder John Maher, donated $100,000 to the school's athletic boosters club to for the instillation of a new synthetic turf at the high school's football stadium. The donation came with naming rights for the field, which will be the
Maher/Rutenschroer Field to honor Maher’s parents, Al and Mary Jo of Delhi, Ohio and long-time Oak Hills Hall of Fame football coach Wil Rutenschroer. Read more:

On January 23, 2007, Spring Hill homebuilder John Maher Builders, Inc. donated another $14,000 to Independence High School athletics.
These funds are in addition to other donations totaling $9,496.40 to the school since its opening in 2004.

In continuing its tradition of active community involvement, John Maher Builders, for the third straight year, was title sponsorship of the annual Spring Hill Country Ham Festival, Oct. 7, 2006 at the historic Rippavilla Plantation on Highway 31 in Spring Hill (map).

John Maher Builders a major contributor for inaugural Spring Hill Imagination Library Golf Tournament
John Maher Builders, in conjunction with several Spring Hill, Tenn. area businesses, was a supporter of the inaugural Spring Hill Imagination Library Golf Tournament June 17, 2006 at the King's Creek Golf Course in Spring Hill. John Maher Builders, a long-time supporter of the Spring Hill Imagination Library, sponsored a men's and women's long drive contest during the scramble tournament for golfers of all skill levels, as well as provided gift bags for the golfers and monetary support for the library.
Twelve of JMB's sub-contractors/vendors generously donated $7,500 as birdie and/or hole sponsors for the tournament (see photo below).

John Maher, President of John Maher Builders, Inc., has been named by the Nashville Business Journal to the Williamson 25, recognizing the 25 individuals who most influence business in Williamson County, Tenn.

John Maher Builders Climbs Rankings In Builder Magazine Top 100 Nationwide Fastest Growing Home Builders
John Maher Builders, Inc. has climbed nine spots over the past year from 37th to 28th in Builder Magazine's top 100 fastest growing home builders in the nation. And that puts John Maher Builders third among home builders in Tennessee.
The September 2005 issue of the magazine, put out by the National Association of Home Builders, does an annual ranking entitled Fast Track. The Fast Track 2005 rankings are based on percentage gross revenue change from 2002 - 2004. During that period John Maher Builders, Inc. reported its gross revenue total as $28 million, an increase of 52.75%. During that same time John Maher Builders saw its number of closings total 168, an increase of 133.33%.
